In 1984 Johann Pemberger set up his own business in the “production and processing of spectacle frames”. The family business he founded is now managed by the third generation and continues to hold on to the company location in Bad Goisern, making it one of the companies core values.

In the early years JVG location manufactured eyewear for other company’s. But, in 2010 the decision was made to produce exclusively for JVG Eyewear. Now the name has become recognized internationally as colourful eyewear fashion from Bad Goisern, Austria!

All Johann von Goisern frames are solely made of natural cellulose-acetate, which consists of 97% cotton flakes.

The production time of Johann Von Goisern frames is on average 4 weeks. Depending on the complexity of the design, up to 80 different production steps are carried out. In addition to the use of precise machines, experienced hands and careful eyes are what count most.
